During my working relationship with Adeyemi (2012- 2014), he brought in new ideas especially with regards to the Youth Programmes and external volunteers engagement. He hit the ground running and his experience in the development space came in handy in carrying out his daily activities which propelled the organization towards attaining its objectives. Adeyemi is self driven, purpose driven, hardworking and is able to use his initiative during project implementation. Most importantly Adeyemi is morally upright and holds firm to his core values.

Adeyemi is one of the most hardworking and resourceful professionals I’ve ever worked it.

The year was 2008, LEAP Africa had just launched the infamous LEC programme across secondary schools in 5 states in Nigeria. As a member of the project execution team in charge of Ogun State, we had our fears but outstanding volunteers like Yemi stepped up and ensured the program was successful.

While I had to chase some other volunteers for reports, Yemi always go above and beyond to deliver his reports timely and was a great asset to my team.

The success of the Ogun team eventually earned us many accolades and press publications but none of it would have been possible without outstanding contributions from Yemi and the other volunteers.

I have watched his career grow in leaps and bounds but I’m not surprised at his achievements because I saw the potentials in him even in those days of little beginnings.

Every project manager needs a sound professional like Adeyemi Asaba.

I got to know the name Adeyemi Asaba before I met the person. In 2012, I was a new employee at LEAP Africa, a leading youth led, youth focused organization in Africa. I remember vividly that when we needed to get things done, my then supervisor, Kehinde Ayeni would say call Adeyemi Asaba. Everyone who needed something done outside the office and done well, would call for Adeyemi Asaba. Eventually we had a project and he was a lead project volunteer and that was the first time I met him. Adeyemi is dedicated to a fault, with or without pay.

His commitment to help others is an admirable quality. Most of the volunteers I ended up working even after I left LEAP Africa were links I got from him. It’s always a pleasure reminiscing about our times together.
